The Department of Mass Media of SIES College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, Sion (W),(Autonomous) conducted the first part of the Documentary and Ad Film Making Training Programme Lecture Series on 30th July, 2021 for the students of SYBAMMC and TYBAMMC. The workshop was headed by Mr. Akash Purswani. The purpose of this series is to educate students about documentaries and ad films, their types and how to go about the process, from ideation to creation.

Industry Expert Webinar on Building Lasting Brands in Contemporary Times by Mr. Ajay Rawal, Marketing. Raymond was conducted on 24th July, 2021 for multimedia and mass communication buffs. Mr. Rawal, a National Award winner, has worked with brands namely; “Itch Guard, Ring Guard”, made the students understand and appreciate nuances of consumer behaviour and how brands sustained in the market dynamics.

A webinar on “Introduction to probability and its applications” was organized by the Department of Statistics SIES College on 24th July 2021 by Dr. Leela Subramanian, an ex-faculty of the college. Dr. Subramanian explained the essence of probability with examples on the subject throughout various domains. She also introduced many in-depth theoretical aspects of the subject, the webinar was interactive and vibrant throughout, students were asked to solve various questions, also many of their doubts and ambiguities about probability was solved by Dr. Subramanian. The speaker also motivated students by explaining the wide role and application of statistics and probability and how to pursue the same as a dominant feature in the aspect of their career. Madam also discussed about various paradoxes in probability theory which helped students to strengthen their concepts which in turn developed their keen interest in the subject. 90 students & all faculty members attended the lecture.

PPP Webinar on the Frontiers of Physics.

To provide information in order to understand the recent advances in these rapidly growing fields and to develop the ideas to design new experiments. This webinar PPP Webinar on the Frontiers of Physics was aimed at providing a platform for interaction and exchange of ideas and information between scientists and students by exposing the students to the stalwarts of scientists in their respective fields. Interaction of UG and PG Students of Science stream with eminent scientists working in different institutes was needed to provide information of the recent advances in the rapidly growing fields in science.
