Environmental Awareness Week Celebration

On Diamond Jubilee of the College, the Department of Botany celebrated ‘Environmental awareness week’ from 5th June to 12th June. Three competitions were held during environmental awareness week. • Essay writing competition: The participants were supposed to write essay on anyone topic from the three. 1000 – 1200 words were expected in essay. Topics for essay competition were My role in environment conservation, Impact of climate change on Himalayas, Impact of lockdown on environment. • Poster making competition: The participants were supposed to make a poster using their own creativity. For poster three topics were provided - Ecotourism and Urban forestry, Green energy resources, Mangrove ecosystem in India. • Quiz competition: The quiz competition was conducted through google form. Topic for quiz competition was We and our environment.

International Yoga Day-The Eco Guide to Yoga webinar

The Department of Philosophy, Value Lab and IQAC jointly, conducted the webinar to orient the participants the practice of Yoga in everyday life from a philosophical and spiritual perspective. The webinar was conducted through MS Teams. It was both lecture cum demonstration of breathing practices (Pranayama) and meditation (dhyana). The webinar concluded with an interactive question and answer session.

World Environment Day Quiz

10th June 2020, Cultural Activity Association

The Department of Commerce organised an Environment Quiz on account of World Environment Day from 5th June 2020 to 10th June, 2020 on digital platform. The quiz was prepared on google form and was circulated among various departments and student groups within College. The quiz consisted of 20 questions, requiring a 40% score by the participants to qualify.
