Title: An Insight into NET/SET Preparation
Objective: Guidance to NET/SET aspirants of Degree College
Methodology: Online Symposium
Report: On 24th March 2021, a symposium was held for the students of Third Year who were interested in pursuing teaching and applying for NET/SET exams.
The guest speaker- Ms Pranali Kadam, a copy editor and doctoral candidate, guided the attendees on the topic and also provided them with exclusive study material for the same.
Outcome: The students gained an insight into preparation for NET/SET examination

Title: Discover Your Calling- a 5 –Day symposium about Careers and Courses after TY
Objective: To give students an idea about the various careers options that are available to them after TYBA
Methodology: A 5 –Day online symposium
Report: From 16th February to 20th February 2021, one week, several educational talks on a wide array of professional fields were organised by the Association. A total of ten speakers guided the students on what courses and paths to take after graduation and motivated them to discover their true callings.

The Ad Mad Show

An intra-collegiate ad making competition was organised on MS TEAMS platform where advertisements made by the participants were screened to the audience. The product given to them was Hand Sanitizer. Point wise evaluation was done considering parameters such as creativity, understandability, pursuance, dialogue, background music, casting, cinematography, audio video mixing, theme, relevance and effective communication. A total of 24 students participated and presented their advertisement which was evaluated by Prof. Saravanan Nadar from the Department of BMS of SIES College of Arts Science and Commerce (Autonomous). All the ads submitted by the participants were shown to the audience during the event. Out of the 24 participants, only 2 teams won. Winners and the participants were given certificates of appreciation and participation respectively.

As a part of UTKARSHA, the academic Festival, History, Philosophy and Economics Department jointly organized a Workshop. This workshop was all about business/start up ideas and how to work on them. Mr. Prabhu Swaminathan – Founder of AFMOI, LAFORS Talent Solutions India Pvt. Ltd, g gave students, an insight into the corporate world. His ideologies, formulas for a successful start-up were very outstanding and knowledgeable.
Venture Synergia –One day workshop

Department of Philosophy, History and Economics cooperatively organized a digital workshop as part of the intra-collegiate Fest UTKARSHA 2021. This workshop was all about business/start up ideas and how to work on them. The workshop was conducted on MS. Teams. The resource person took over the workshop and gave an insight into the corporate world. He then proceeded with explaining the underlying principles. His way of giving examples and placing questions in front of the students was liked by everyone. Students enthusiastically answered his questions. The ‘Soft skills’ gave us an idea as to how creativity is the key to stand out and be unique. Moving ahead he threw light on ‘Mental blocks’ which are the barriers to be creative. His personal experiences added a special touch to the workshop. His ideologies, formulas for a successful start-up were very outstanding and knowledgeable. After his wonderful explanation, a Q/A session was open to all

Raashtrakavi Subramanya Bhaaratee Inter- Collegiate Seelf Composd Poetry Recitation Competition was organized on 11th Feb, 2021. Students from 12 colleges Presented their Poems ,on this occasion senior journalist and poet Mr Ravi Jain and Akhilesh Mishra were present there to Judge the competition .

The Department of Chemistry organized Chemorisis 2021 as an Intercollegiate online Quiz on behalf of the College Annual Cultural festival Utkarsha, on 11th Feb 2021. 256 Students from different colleges in Mumbai had participated in Basis online Quiz while 88 students participated in Advance Chem Quiz. The entire programme was well appreciated and was overall a grand success.

▪ Students Professional Development Conference 5.0 Breakthrough to Excellence is the biggest Inter-College Conference, which is similar to TEDx wherein we nominate various leaders from different careers to be our honorary guests and inspire our students.
▪ Through SPDC we try to make the students aware of what careers are available in today’s day and what all options they have to choose from.
▪ The Second Speaker for the day was Dr. Mekhala Bawsay, a fashion and lifestyle influencer, entrepreneur and an MBA student currently nominated in the best fashion and lifestyle influencer of DGLITZ magazine.
