Introduction

The Department of Biotechnology, started in the year 2002, offers under-graduate as well as post graduate courses in the subject of Biotechnology.

Course Outcome:

• Keeping in tune with the current demands of the academic and Industrial fields, the Department organizes severed academic and research-oriented events.
• Workshops on Epigenetics, Techniques in Molecular Diagnostics and Techniques in Proteomics sponsored by LTMT; Research Scholar Meet sponsored by Konark group of Industries; Rajalakshmi Amudan lecture series, BT Talks- alumni Interacting with current students, Popular lecture series by reputed scientists from the industry & scientific institutes in collaboration with BRNS and Indian Women Scientists Association (IWSA) are a few of such events.
• To inculcate scientific reasoning and temperament among students we encourage our undergraduate students to take up research projects. Internship Program for undergraduate students under IWSA-SIES Internship Program students is an initiative taken up by us in collaboration with IWSA since 2021-22 to promote Science education and introduce the flavor of research among undergraduate students.
