Mr. Raj Subramaniam
Rajesh Subramaniam, an alumnus of the SIES College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Sion (West) has replaced Frederick W Smith as the Chairman and CEO of FedEx Corporation USA from June 1. Rajesh was in XIth Std, Science (Roll No. C-23) in 1981-82 and XIIth Std (roll No. C-25) in 1982-83. After successfully completing his intermediate Science from the College, he joined IIT Bombay from where he graduated in Chemical Engineering in 1987.
Raj’s father C. Subramanian, IPS (Retd.), former Director General of Police, Kerala and uncle C. Krishnamurthy, General Manager (HR) (Retd) Grindlays Bank Plc were both alumnus of SIES High School. Shri. C. Subramanian studied in the SIES High School between 1943 and 1949. He was decorated with the Prime Minister’s Police Medal for meritorious service in 1979 and the President’s Police Medal for distinguished service in 1986. His Aunt Ms. C. Janaki was a teacher in the Primary section of SIES High School. She served the school with unremitting devotion and commitment between 1952 and 1986, for a continuous period of 34 years. She retired as the Deputy Head Teacher.
