The Department of Microbiology organized an Industrial visit to Go cheese factory, in Manchar, Pune on 17 Dec 2022.
The Department of Botany conducted a 'Hands-on training workshop on Composting and Basket Farming' for the students of Gotheghar Ashramshala. They were assisted by a few SYBSC and TYBSc Botany students in organizing the training. The school students were provided with the materials required for carrying out composting and basket farming.
Outreach activity was carried out by Ms. Deepika Tambe & Ms. Hera Azmi staff members of Microbiology Dept for Gotheghar Ashramshala students on 26th & 27th December 2022.
The main objective was to motivate the students to come up with the online newsletter, "Gulmohar" for the department. It was organised under the broad objecuve of soft skill development and environmental awareness creation amongst the readers and volunteers.
17th Inter-Collegiate/Institute/Department Aavishkar Research Convention 2022-23 was organized by Department of Students’ Development, University of Mumbai. Out of 7 Research Proposals (11 student participants) from SIES College, 1 Research Project was selected for the Final rounds and received consolation prize.
