Prof. Misra enlightened us with his ever-engaging words on Yoga and Life. He emphasized that Indian Psychology has contributed significantly to the lives of people. All students from the Yoga Upasana Course attended this session. The guest speaker was introduced by Somuki Nadar, a student of TYBA. The online event was graced by the august presence of the head of the department and institution, Dr. Uma Shankar. Also present for the program were professors of Philosophy and Psychology, Dr. Kamala Srinivas, Vrushali Gupte, Amruta Padhye and Shama Todurkar and Dr. Dinesh Pathak from the Hindi Department. The event was made exciting with talks on lesser-known aspects of life such as Sankhya Yoga, Mahavakyas, the perspectives of Yoga, Stithpragnya, amongst many more. Prof. Misra also gave instances from the Bhagavad Gita, Vedas, Upanishads, and other prominent books of the contemporary times.
Department conducted a 4 session Modi workshop for learning Modi Script. from 4th August to 8th September. Modi script for predominantly used in Medieval times especially during Maratha Period.
Guest Lecture on International Migration from a Source Region Perspective: A Study of Indian Migrants by Dr. Anu Abraham
On 5th August 2022, an essay writing competition in English and Hindi was conducted to commemorate 75 years of India’s independence-“Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsavâ€. The 15 participants were provided with topics in both English and Hindi. The winners were awarded their prizes on 13th August 2022 by the DCP, Mumbai Police Mr. Sanjay Patil during the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.
The Tattvam Association of SIES College of Arts, Science and Commerce, adhering to Socrates’ wisdom, organized an interactive session on Philosophy and Finance. The guest speaker for the session was an illustrious alumni of SIES, currently working as a Financial Analyst at JP Morgan, Mr. Saurabh Rajput. The event was the first offline event of the association. The Secretary of the Tattvam Association, Ms. Pooja Nair, introduced the guest speaker. Mr. Rajput then addressed the crowd and shared his life experiences and his interactions with assorted groups of clients. He also shared his journey as a student, his professional life and his ardent interest in philosophy and shift towards finance.

As a part of the curriculum, the T.Y.B.Sc. Botany Applied Component (Horticulture) students were taken to the Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Udyan (Rani Baug) to observe various garden locations, landscaping techniques and plants in this unique garden. Rani Baug is a botanical garden and zoo located at Byculla, in the heart of Mumbai city. This garden houses many unique, rare, and exotic plants in addition to the rich local flora of the city. Few old and heritage trees are also planted in this garden which are more than a century old.

As a part of the event, posters display on 75 commercial Indian crops, 75 Ayurvedic plants of Indian origin, 75 job opportunities in botany and plant exhibition were arranged. A book entitled 75 important trees of Mumbai' was also published by the department.

The participants were expected to express their Idea of „FREEDOM‟ in minimum 3 – maximum 7 words.
Palasdhari is a quaint village situated ahead of Karjat and has picturesque landscape with undulating land, small ponds and waterfalls. It forms a perfect location in the monsoon to observe rich diverse flora in the wild. A one-day excursion to this place was conducted for the students of SYBSC, TYBSc and M.Sc.-I as per their curriculum.

The exhibition showcases the prowess of DAE in nuclear science and technology. It covers the complete gamut of nuclear fuel cycle from front end (covering various aspects and stages involved in fuel fabrication for nuclear reactors) to the back end (re-processing of the spent fuel and waste management) and nuclear reactor technology (including different types of nuclear reactor designs), current and future. This exhibition emphasizes the necessity of nuclear energy in combating global warming. In addition, the exhibition also includes non - power DAE technologies employed for various societal benefits, such as application of radio - isotopes and accelerators in agriculture, medicine and industry, and use of neutron and gamma radiations in basic research.
