Department of Botany conducted one bridge course per semester in online mode through MS Teams platform. The details of the bridge courses were as follows. o Semester-I – Study of parts of microscope (20th & 22nd October 2022) o Semester-II – Morphology of flowering plants (28th January & 2nd February 2022) Powerpoint presentations were shown for better understanding of the concepts related to light microscope and dissection microscope in the first semester and morphological aspects of angiosperms in the second semester. A glossary of important terminologies was provided to the students for reference.
The motive behind this course was to bridge the gap of knowledge in the field of microscopy and plant morphology and giving the students overall idea for section cutting, slide preparations, and microscope adjustments. The Department of Mass Media of SIES College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, Sion (W),(Autonomous) conducted the part 3 of the Documentary and Ad Film Making Training Programme Lecture Series on 22nd October 2021 for the students of SYBAMMC and TYBAMMC. The workshop was headed by Mr. Akash Purswani. The purpose of this series is to educate students about documentaries and ad films, their types and how to go about the process, from ideation to creation.
The objective of this online workshop was to equip students with effective poster presentation skills. The resource person, Dr. Vidhya Satish, Director, SIES Institute of Early Childhood Care Education, Sion west, through her presentation described the Dos and Donts of making a good poster. She explained the components of a poster and how one can effectively express oneself through it.
