The Department of English organized a One Day National Seminar on city poetry called Cityscapes: The Metropolis in Verse which was attended by 88 participants. Several poets from across the country partipated.

Past student of the Department, Ms. Radhika Chandrasekaran, who is now working as a Lead Teacher in a special-ed school in Mumbai delivered a lecture informing participants about the role of special-ed teachers, personal qualities, professional qualifications required to function as special educator.
The Department of Botany organized career guidance lecture for SYBSc and TYBSc Botany students. The students were given clear picture about future scope of botany in career management as well as in higher studies in India and abroad. This lecture aimed to guide students from a career point of view and give them perspectives on career scope and higher studies in botany. Location: Lab. To help students understand how children with special needs are taught and special-ed schools function, a field-visit of TYBA Psychology students to Gateway School of Mumbai, Deonar was organised.
On 26th February 2019, the English association in collaboration with the Tamil, Marathi, Hindi and Malayalam associations organized a lecture cum demonstration on “Dubbing as a Career†by Ms. Indu Iyer of Traffic Signal fame.

Students were shown an animated video related to Nuclear Chemistry , making them understand the concept of Nuclear fission and Nuclear fusion . The video gave information on advantages of using Nuclear power. It also included the information about reactors in BARC like DHRUVA, APSARA, CIRUS etc. Various components of the DHRUVA reactor were explained by the scientific officers who guided our students inside Dhruva reactor plant. There was an exhibition for students which included topics like the use of nuclear radiation in radiation therapy, in preserving food items and vegetables. Students were made to understand the functioning of Bhabhatron in radiation therapy.The visit ended up with an interactive session between scientific officers and students
To help students understand that being effective person is a prerequisite for becoming effective mental health professional guest lecture by Swamini Brahmapradyananda Saraswati on the topic of Self-growth was organised for TYBA Psychology students.

The Department of Botany organized a demo-workshop on Landscape Gardening for students of TYBSc – Horticulture. It included a theory session followed by a demonstration of landscaping. The event aimed to give comprehensive account of landscaping to the students & demonstrate the steps involved in indoor and outdoor landscaping using the appropriate flora and garden feature models.
