Department of Philosophy jointly with Aarsha Vidya Foundation organised Panel discussion in order to bring out the philosophical significance and deliberated on various aspects of Bhagavad Gita.
The Hindi Department organized a seminar on the above topic. Shri. Nandkishor Nautiyal (Editor, Nutan Savera) inaugurated the seminar. Dr. Vijay Kumar(Noted Poet and Critic), Dr. Sunita Sakhare, Dr. Usha Gupta, Shri. Prakash Bhratambekar were present as resource persons in the seminar.

The Physics department organized an intercollegiate competition Fizika as part of the activities for Utkarsha 2017 on 11th December 2017. There were a total of 6 teams that took part, with each team consisting of two students. The colleges represented were Ratnam College, R. Jhunjhunwala College and SIES College. The competition was a gauntlet that involved 6 experiments. Each experiment was designed to test the different laboratory skills that a physics student learns as a first year student.

Interdisciplinary Add-on Course for IT students titled "Engaging the 8085 microprocessor"was conducted for by the Physics department. Course length was 15 hrs and it was conducted over 6 sessions.
Physics Department sponsored 6 students to participate in the Two day workshop held at MD College, Parel. The workshop was titled Radiation Technology, Safety, Detection, Applications and Indian Nuclear Energy Programme.

Nitya from the Majlis centre, followed by a poster-making and elocution competition.
It was a 2 day Training Programme organised for TYBSc students on 21st and 23rd December 2017. Programs in assembly language for 8085 microprocessor were designed and written by Mrs. Pratibha Pai in such a manner that it suited the students very well.
