A study tour was conducted between 3-6 September 2017 for the TYBA students from the Departments of Politics, Philosophy, History and Economics.
The departments of Philosophy, Political Science and History jointly organized a study tour to Gandhi Teerth, Jain Irrigation Project and an NGO, Manobal in Jalgaon, Maharashtra. The tour was arranged by Amrutyatra. The TYBA students from these departments along with the faculty visited the above mentioned places as a part of their academic endeavour.
Mr. Deepak Velankar and his students narrated some stories to the audience. the audience enjoyed the program since all the narrators did not refer to any notes.
Department of Economics declared 'Equality' as the value to be celebrated for the month of September, 2017. The Department conducted activities including talks, elocution competition, poster competition, essay writing competition and street play to promote the importance of the value , 'Equality' , among students.

One day Educational Visit to Nehru Science Centre, Worli was organized for the students of SYBSc on 9th September 2017. Students focused on the experimental set up and made a report of the visit independently. Two staff members Mr. Swapnil Jawkar and Mr. Maheshwar Falake accompanied the students. Fifty five (55) students participated and immensely benefitted.

Psychology Association organised a programme named “Let’s talk about it”. Two days prior to the event, students were invited to share their views on Suicide Prevention by writing them on charts were put up in the College Foyer and near the Third Floor Canteen. On 11 September, the program began with a screening of three short films which showcased some causes of suicidal ideation like pressure, depression and self-esteem issues. This was followed by a brief discussion on the issue of suicide.

Workshop on "Western Blotting" for SYBSc Students under the aegis of DBT STAR scheme 2017-18
Students who took admission late and /or who missed practical sessions due to medical issues, passing repeat HSC examination and other valid reasons were permitted to perform experiments under remedial course. The course was conducted after the completion of the regular practical sessions from 22nd September to 4th October 2017(7 sessions). A record of the course was maintained to ensure that the students completed all the required number of experiments as prescribed in the syllabus of Mumbai University. Such students were able to clear their default and were eligible to appear for semester end practical examination.

A Certificate Course on R programming was conducted for our students from 24th July to 30th Sep 2017 in collaboration with Finstat. R is an open source programming language and software environment for statistical computing and graphics that is supported by the R Foundation for Statistical Computing. The R language is widely used among statisticians and data miners for developing statistical software and data analysis
