Emminent scholars from different academic fields were invited to deliver talk on the areas of their expertise. The first talk was by Dr. Vijayam Ravi, Ph.D. in Education and Philosophy and an Educational Consultant, spoke on Philosophy of Education.
Students presented on Buddhism calendar, festivals and symbols which was followed by interaction.
One of the current TYB Psychology students, Palasha Parikh has taken training in Hypnosis. She conducted a workshop for her classmates on Hypnotherapy on 7th February 2017. She elaborated on what is hypnotherapy, and with illustration explained what self-hypnosis is and how it goes about.
Workshop on 6 Sigma techniques in the industry and LEAN methods was conducted for students of TYBSc by N R Hegde who is a Master Black Belt in Six Sigma. Six Sigma seeks to improve the quality of the output of a process by identifying and removing the causes of defects and minimizing variability in manufacturing and business processes. It uses a set of quality management methods, mainly statistical methods, and creates a special infrastructure of people within the organization, who are experts in these methods. Each Six Sigma project carried out within an organization follows a defined sequence of steps and has specific value targets, for example: reduce process cycle time, reduce pollution, reduce costs, increase customer satisfaction, and increase profits.

to help students understand Existential therapy, Psychology Association arranged screening of the movie ‘Life is Beaultiful’ on 22nd February 2017. This movie beautifully portrays how the protagonist in the movie, who is caught in concentration camp, gives meaning to the experience so that his son can cope with it. The elements of Existential Therapy were discussed in the light of the movie later.

The seminar with its academic and performance based approach made the audience experience music and its appraisal with new perspectives.More than 300 delegates(academic and non academic) participated.

Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar (Kusumagraj), the association organized a talk on ‘ Marathi Patrakarita-Shamata ani Sandhi’, by Mr. Sameer Karve, Assistant Sub-Editor, Maharashtra Times. He spoke on the relevance of language, its pragmatics and development in the field of journalism. He guided the students regarding how to pursue a career in media and how to improvise ones skills to be a part of this glamorous yet challenging world. Junior and Degree college students participated actively.
