Chakachak , Rotaract’s own contribution to our Prime Minister’s “Sawach Bharat Abhiyanâ€. Our biggest initiative for cleanliness of our beloved city. A community service initiative , wherein we cleaned the surrounding area near our college. In total 43 clubs participated for this event.
If you watch a game, it’s fun. If you play it’s recreation. Management based fun activity with the Interactors of Beacon High school was conducted as a Partners- in- service event. The event took place at Beacon High School where more than 30 students participated in different teams.
We celebrated and made people aware about the Japanese culture and tradition by celebrating their festival with fun and enthusiasm. From decoration to dressing, to food to wishing tree, we made every effort to remain authentic in all respects.

• Mr Vikesh Shrivastav, Sr. manager, Biostatistics & Programming , SIRO Clinpharm inaugurated the activities of the Statistics association on Wednesday, 22nd July , 2015and delivered a talk on ‘Applications of statistics in the Pharmaceutical industry’ He explained different stages of a clinical trial and the concept of Bioequivalence. He talked at length about the career prospects for Statistics graduates in the pharmaceutical industry.
TYBA Politics students field Visit
The 6th Installation Ceremony of the Rotaract Club of SIES Sion (W), the youth wing of the Rotary Club of Bombay Pier took place wherein Rtr. Chaitanya Gandhi and his Board of Directors handed over their responsibilities and duties to Rtr. Dhanshree Waghmare and her Board of Directors.

This talk was delivered by Dr. V. V. Hemasundar, Associate Professor of Mathematics at SIWS College who is actively involved in research in the area of Real and Complex Analysis. The talk enlightened students about mathematical topics beyond stipulated syllabus and exposed them to new areas of research.
A value added course 'Garden Craft' was organized by Department of Botany on Tuesday, 28th July 2015 for the members of MSSI (Multiple Sclerosis Society of India), Sion. The course included demonstration of basic gardening practices to manage home gardens. Dr. Neeraja Tutakne worked as a resource person for the said workshop.
A debating competition was conducted for commerce students on the topic ‘The future career – Employment or Entrepreneurship’
Ms Sandhya Krishnan, a research scholar with Mumbai University and an alumnus of the department conducted an interactive session about the scope and institutions for higher education in areas related to economics. A chart display on the above theme was also set up.

TYBA Politics students Field Visit
Learning is a never ending process which is what makes learning new things much more fun and relevant. With this thought, the Professional Development Avenue conducted a workshop to teach video making on 31st of July 2015.
The Web Communications Avenue initiated ‘My Limitless Life’ to publicize the year’s theme; LIMITLESS. Participants were asked to send in quotes/ poems/ write-ups/ or any other creative write-ups by them as to what according to them is ‘limitless’. There were a huge no. of entries which came in from various places. We had participants from Pune and Delhi as well!
Many people think that it’s difficult or nearly impossible to make videos. To dispel this notion, RC SIES Sion (W) kept a workshop on video making. The students were introduced to various software like Pro-show, Windows Movie Maker, Prezi etc. The workshop was taken up by our vice-president Rtr. Prakyath Shetty.
