The Department of Computer Science was established in the year 1999. The Department offers Under Graduate –BSc(CS) and Post Graduate – MSc(CS) Programs in Computer Science.

Mission and Vision

The Computer Science Department aims to foster innovative research and education in computing technologies. It seeks to prepare students for impactful careers and address societal challenges through interdisciplinary collaboration.

Industry Collaboration and Opportunities

The department in order to bridge the gap between industry and academia has tied up with Google initiatives that include Google career launchpad and Google Developer Students Skills/ Google Developer Group. In 2024 department received 5000 google credits worth of $5000 for Google certifications as part of Google Career Launchpad for UG and PG students to get actual Google Cloud platform experience so that they can learn cloud while doing it and make them industry ready. The department is a local chapter of Google students community called as GDSC/GDG through which various hands on workshops are conducted for Google technologies.
